Phil Roach – Bass Guitar, Vocals
Phil was brought up in a family of musicians and by the age of 7, he already mimicked the playing styles of his favourite performers, like Paul McCartney and Jimmy Hendrix.
During primary and high school Phil played in musicals, stage band and wind ensemble performances all over Queensland.
Intensive music and bass lessons refined his technique further … and his music teacher, being deeply impressed by his rare talent and skill, invited Phil to join his band. By the time Phil was 15, he was already performing professionally.
Phil furthered his experience while performing with a highly renowned Queensland corporate outfit “Tamboo.”
Phil has been driven all his life by a burning passion and his deep sense of commitment, combined with an outstanding talent makes him today an unreplaceable member of The “Carl Wockner Band.”
There is no doubting, Phil’s undeniable talent and enthusiasm, has earned him the reputation of being a world class bass guitarist
Will Pascoe – Drums, Percussion
Based on the Sunshine Coast, Will Pascoe has indulged in a multiple of genres and performed extensively throughout Queensland.
Self taught at a young age Will soon began performing professionally at many shows and festivals including Tamworth country music festival, Gympie Muster, Mud Bulls and Music, Suncorp stadium and Valleymore Stadium.

He has also earned first place at the Wide Bay drumming competition by performing a solo composition.
Will Pascoe is one of the few sought after drummers in Queensland, and is pleased to be a member of the Carl Wockner Band.
Dyon Tahana – Saxophone (Tenor, Alto, Soprano), Vocals
At the age of 15 Dyon began studying Saxophone through school in Melbourne. It was his father a well known local jazz musician who encouraged him to study jazz. After being accepted into the Victorian College of the arts he went on to finish a three year Bachelor of Arts Degree in Jazz improvisation. His remarkable musicianship has put him on stage alongside some of Australia’s finest musicians.
Dyon’s exceptional versatility has enabled him slot into various ensembles, one of which lasted eight months as he toured throughout several countries. On returning from France in 2000 he moved to the Sunshine coast, Queensland where he has performed on TV show “Hey Hey its Saturday” and the “Blues and Roots” festival.
Tahana’s highly sought after talent has involved him with artists such as: -

More recently Dyon has been performing with Sunshine coast artists: – Carl Wockner, the MAP Project, Greg Doney, Carl Lynch, Jess Lean and Clint Francis.
His un-questionable technique and passion will captivate any room; it is this aptitude which has helped him join the ranks as a first-class Saxophonist.
James Dean – Lead Guitar, Vocals
James first picked up a guitar in year 8 music class and found a passion and friendly rivalry challenge to exceed. Quickly showing improvement and aspiration he soon started to stand out from the class mates and was placed into CMSOE (Country Music School of Excellence), a school based foundation with a specialized curriculum for music.
With his first inspiration being found in Blues-Rock legend “Stevie Ray Vaughn,” James adopted these powerful licks and styles of both country and blues which soon saw him performing professionally at Gympie Muster, Tamworth music festival and QPAC. By year 10 he had risen as a high class lead guitarist and also leader of the CMSOE outfit.
Following this James began a further study of music with AICM (Australian Institute of Country Music) where he discovered inspirations such as John Mayer, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley and Brent Mason which became his new benchmark of skill and professionalism.
James has performed along-side such Australian music stars such as: -

After getting a taste of performing, writing and recording in the music industry, there was no stopping him from furthering himself with each step. Performing with powerful emotion and effortless technique, it’s always his pleasure to play.
